Pterygium

project-03

What is Pterygium?

Surfer’s eye is another term for Pterygium. The conjunctiva, or mucous membrane that covers the sclera, develops an additional growth (white part of the eye) and grows on the cornea. The nasal side of the conjunctiva is usually where it starts to grow.
